“We have feelings like normal people, we think differently and there are certain barriers we have to overcome but we enjoy fulfilled lives”
25 year old Bobby Latherton enjoys singing, story writing and song writing, his creative personality urged him to express his feelings with lyrics. From this, He figured that if he could tell stories through song, why not try and write a book, thus, ‘My world in my words’ was born.
Throughout his book he notes his experiences of living with autism. He said “ I wanted to show people I wasn't ashamed of being autistic, and help them see what the world was like though my eyes”
When his book was printed and published he said, “Holding a copy in my hands, I felt so proud”
But it doesn’t stop there!
Bobby wishes to become an advocate for autism and raise awareness of the condition. He believes it’s what makes him different and it’s a part of him that should be celebrated.
