RELEGATION BOUND: Are the Baggies destined for the Championship?

After 12 points from 23 games, just two wins, and a change in leadership, West Brom remain far off survival in the Premier League.

11 points separate them from safety, and even new manager Sam Allardyce - known for his ability to keep teams in the Premier League - has been unable to turn things around despite beating rivals Wolves.

That victory at Molineux should have been the catalyst to kickstart their fightback but that hasn't been the case.

In fact, West Brom have yet to win since that game and have picked up just one point in that time.

Their last two games against fellow relegation-threatened teams Sheffield United and Fulham yielded that singular point.

Sam Allardyce was brought in to move the side away from danger, but that hasn't happened.

Slaven Bilic's last game in charge was picking up a point at Manchester City and he was dismissed shortly afterward.

Allardyce initially picked up a point at Anfield and then the win against Wolves, but they now seem cut off from survival.

11 points is a long way to go with just 15 games left. Baggies fans don't hold out much hope to stay in the Premier League.

Insurmountable challenge

"I think sadly for us Albion fans any hopes we had of staying in the Premier League are all but over," says West Brom fan Ashley Fox.

"In reality, we knew that if we were to stay up we needed to pick up some points against Sheffield United and Fulham because they were the teams around us.

"But after only taking one point from those two matches, even the most optimistic of Albion fans will admit that now it looks like an insurmountable challenge to get out of the bottom three."
