A NEW NEWCASTLE: Big plans have been announced to help the city of Newcastle on the road to recovery
Recovering from the pandemic is going to be an uphill battle for many towns and cities, especially when keeping promises of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
Earlier this week, major plans were unveiled as part of the vision to transform Newcastle making it a place where businesses can thrive and where people want to live, with ample opportunities for a fulfilling life. It's going to take millions of pounds and up to ten years, but the returns from boosting the economy and creating a happier place to live and work will be felt for the long haul. We spoke to Councillor Ged Bell, Cabinet Member for Employment and Culture about the city's ambitions.
