Cleveland elections sabotage accusation and Thornaby council argue over supplying PCSOs with electric pedal bikes
Fitness entrepreneur Mike Hind has denied a councillor’s accusation that he conspired with a political rival to sabotage his campaign after he obstructed an advertisement with his van. Councillor Chris Jones, who's running for Cleveland Police and Crime Commissioner election claims Hind did it as part of a plan with rival Steve Turner.

Thornaby Council row

Councillors in Thornaby have backed plans to provide two PCSOs with electric bicycles after a heated debate. Councillor Glenn Eastick denounced the idea saying it was up to the police to supply such vehicles and would unnecessarily cost the council money. Thornaby Mayor Steve Walmsley supports the idea saying it would help them cover more ground in the area.

Durham skills hub

A new state of the art skills hub has opened in County Durham to support local residents back to work. The Foundations Skills Hub opened by housing provider Karbon Homes is available to use for free for residents living in Stanley and the surrounding areas of North Durham.
