Covid update for the region & the future is electric in the Tees Valley.
Coronavirus infection rates in the North East are at their lowest level since September. The decline in cases has slowed down though. South Tyneside currently has the highest infection rate and has seen a week on week increase, with 123 cases recorded in the seven days to March 21, reporting 116 cases the week before.
Labour’s candidate for Tees Valley Mayor has set out her vision for an “electric revolution” which could mean thousands of jobs for the area.
