Psycho Path: Biggest North East Halloween event to return

This October, Lintz Hall Farm will swap chickens for chainsaws, as the North East’s biggest scream park, Psycho Path, returns in time for Halloween.

After 18 months of being sat at home, with little to no entertainment, people in the North East are once again welcoming back some of the region’s top events as restrictions ease.

Psycho Path will once again take over the grounds of the farm near Burnhopefield this year, planning a series of terrifying evenings on Fridays and Saturdays throughout October. The event is returning bigger and better than ever before, with the opportunity for horror fans to test their bravery at two new attractions which are still under wraps.

Abandoned wasteland Psycho City will provide outdoor terror with a new trail, where visitors will have to navigate a dark path and avoid the nightmarish creatures that are lurking around every corner.

Inside, visitors can experience the sensory house of horrors, iScream, where those brave enough to enter will have to face a number of fears in order to make it out the other side. Director Christiano Crawford said: “You can’t just focus on one fear- clowns, spiders or small spaces, you have to find a way to integrate those themes”.

The site has moved around this year, with all scares leading off from the main barn, which will transform into Stage Fright – offering spooky entertainment on the main stage and a whole host of street food and bars. Thrill seekers can also enjoy a break from the scares by visiting the fairground rides at the ‘Fearground’.

700 Acres Ltd, which organises Psycho Path, is confident this year’s event ticks every box. Organiser Matt Smyth said: “With the scream park unable to go ahead last autumn, we’ve had even more time to plan for this year and can say with complete confidence that this will be our most impressive event to date.”

“We are really lucky to have such a huge site and it also means we can adapt to any Government guidelines that are in place at the time.”

Tickets are now on sale. Any children aged 13 to 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. To book, or for more information, visit https://www.psycho-path.co.uk/
