FIXTURES RELEASED: Middlesbrough’s 2021/22 fixtures

FIXTURES RELEASED: Middlesbrough’s 2021/22 fixtures

Middlesbrough’s 2021/22 fixtures have been announced as they look ahead to another season in Sky Bet Championship.

Having finished in 10th in 2020/21, the Boro will be looking to finally achieve promotion back to the Premier League under experienced manager Neil Warnock who has achieved that feat more than any other manager.

They will begin with a tough looking away game against Fulham, who were relegated from the Premier League, on the 7th August before their first home game against Bristol City at the Riverside Stadium on the 14th August.

Games come thick and fast in the Championship with 46 in total compared to just 38 in the Premier League. Another home game against Queens Park Rangers (17th August), an away game against Derby County (21st August) and then a return to the Riverside to play Blackburn Rovers (28th August) complete the first month.

Their Boxing Day game will see them host Nottingham Forest whilst they will finish the season in Lancashire as they will travel to play Preston North End on the 7th May.

Fans will be eagerly anticipating the clashes with Hull City and the Black Cats will first take on the Tigers on Saturday 2nd October at The KCOM Stadium with the reverse fixture on Saturday 9th April.

All games are subject to being re-scheduled by broadcaster Sky Sports if they select them for TV.
