GIN O CLOCK: Nightflix Gin Cinema returns to Scarborough

Gin Cinema

The outdoor seated cinema experience with a Gin twist is returning to Scarborough this Summer!

Nightflix Gin Cinema announces the summer 2021 launch of its outdoor gin festival cinema experience in Scarborough, which will run from 18th June - 20th June and then 27th - 30th August.

Nightflix Gin Cinema is an immersive outdoor gin festival and cinema experience which will screen classic films on its outdoor LED screen. Screenings include some of the most popular musicals of recent years such as; Mamma Mia, A Star is Born, and The Greatest Showman, along with classics such as Grease and Dirty Dancing.

The evenings are a chance for viewers to watch some of their favourite films on huge, outdoor LED screens, paired with a refreshing gin cocktail. For this seated event viewers can hire a deck chair, giant beanbag, or bring their own chair to settle down for the film.

Viewers can enjoy a wide range of gins and mixers, along with a fully stocked bar for any non-gin drinkers with a wide range of soft drinks. There will also be a selection of hot food and sweet treats available at all locations.

Audience safety is at the centre of the event planning. All current social distancing measures will be in place, with track & trace in operation.

The event will also be supporting the Saint Catherine’s Hospice, a Scarborough-based hospice which provides care throughout 1,600 square miles of North and East Yorkshire. All of its services are provided free of charge, meaning it relies on fundraising to help reach the £5.5million a year it costs to care for its patients.

Susan Stephenson, Communications and Marketing Manager at Saint Catherine’s, said: “We are delighted that Nightflix Gin Cinema will be once again supporting Saint Catherine’s with its outdoor cinema events at Bramcote playing field. Donations from our supporters out in the community are vital in ensuring that we can continue to provide outstanding care, free of charge, to patients and their families.”

Ben Stonehouse, CEO of Gin Cinema, adds, “Scarborough was very welcoming to the Gin Cinema experience in 2020 and we’re thrilled to return this summer – as well as to support such a valuable local charity. It promises to allow audiences to relax and enjoy some of their favourite movies while expanding their gin horizons!”
