INDIANA JONES 5: It’s Cook vs Davies – Who would make the better Indy?

Indiana Jones fans, you’re in for a treat!

To celebrate the fact that Indiana Jones  5 has started filming, Sam & Luke head to Barry Island to go head to head to find out who would make the better Indy!

But what do you think makes a good Indiana Jones? Indy is a fantastic adventurer, who is a confident, knowledgeable man, whose many adventures have led him to death-defying feats of bravery, not to mention near death experiences and he has also had several experiences with supernatural elements and powers.

One man who would know exactly what makes a great Indiana Jones is Harrison Ford, who has recently returned to the role to film the fifth (and final) film in the series. Read more about the filming of the series here.

The fifth outing for the iconic archaeologist began production in the past week, with Ford set to be joined this time around by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Mads Mikkelsen and Thomas Kretschmann.

Indiana Jones 5 has been in development for well over a decade, and Ford previously explained how they didn't want to revisit the franchise unless they knew that they could “kill it”.

"I don't really want to give them what they want to see, I want to give them something they didn't anticipate," he said.

"They are used to a degree of disappointment when you revisit. Certainly, the Marvel movies have made a spectacular example of a success that worked the other way around, they killed it!"

The star added:

"We're not going to make another Indiana Jones unless we are in a position to kill it. We want it to be the best. We've got some scheduling issues and a few script things to do but we are determined to get it right before we get it made."

Filming is taking place near Grosmont with props including tanks, a guard tower and a steam train dressed in the colours of 1940s German railways, as well as Nazi uniforms.

No official statement has been released about the production, which is the second major Hollywood filming contract that the North Yorkshire Moors Railway has secured this year.

In April, Tom Cruise shot action scenes for the latest Mission:Impossible film on a section of the North York Moors Railway. You can catch our article on this here!

Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled for release on July 29, 2022.

Purchase the Complete Collection of Indiana Jones in 4K as the series celebrates it’s 40th Year.
