Award-winning comedian and actor Jack Whitehall returns to host this year’s Brit awards ceremony taking place on it's slightly delayed date of 11th May 2021 and nominations are set to be announced on Wednesday 31st March.

The awards ceremony will take place at London's 02, however, it is not yet clear if the show will be virtual yet due to the government not allowing indoor hospitality to open until a week later, on 17 May, at the earliest.

Whitehall's trademark opening skits and hilarious table-side manner with artists has resulted in widespread praise and acclaim from both the media and the millions of fans watching from home, and on the night he will take viewers through awards presentations and exclusive music performances, showcasing the very best British and international music talent of the last 18 months in a much-needed moment of pure pop-culture entertainment.

Jack Whitehall said: “I must be doing something right to be invited back to host the BRITs! After the events of the past year, I think we can all do with a big night of music and entertainment, and I'm excited to be part of the show on 11th May.”

By hosting for four years running, Jack ties the record for hosting consecutive ceremonies set by James Corden, between 2011 and 2014.

The nominations for this year’s BRITs are set to be announced next week, on Wednesday 31st March, for categories including Mastercard Album of the Year, Breakthrough and Group. The shortlists will be revealed by popular broadcaster Nick Grimshaw and this year’s BRITs Rising Star supported by Radio 1 winner Griff, via an exclusive announcement across all @BRITs official digital channels - YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
